DISCLAIMER: LEISURE BALL is an adult game.

(not to be confused with Ladder Ball, Ladder Golf, or Bolo, or Bongo, or whatever)

There are only 2 Rules in Leisure Ball

1.) You must be drinking an alcoholic beverage as you play.

2.) You must talk trash to your opponent.

Additional less important but equally enforced rules:

- Before you start your ladder ball game you must take a shot of hard liquor or a long pull on a cold beer.

- The toss line is regulated at 15 feet away. Unlike other wack “ladder” games where people make their own toss line, we dont! Being able to make your own toss line allows children to play which is not allowed in Leisure Ball. Leisure Ball is an Adult game.

- Each ladder ball team gets ball ropes to toss in 3 rounds.

-Ball Ropes must be thrown one at a time (btw the ball Rope can bounce off the ground in for points. rad!)

- at the start of each new round the winners of the last game start first .

- to win you must get an exact score of 21

- If you score over 21 in a round the points of that round do not count. You must Get a total of 21 at your finale throw.

- If the out come of the game ends in a tie the players will play as many over times un till they win by 2 points ahead of the other team. This rule only apply’s in overtime.

- When talking trash you can say or do anything as long as you don’t touch the other player, the Leisure Ball Set Up, or cross the threshold throwing line.

Ladder toss

Ladder toss^[1] is a lawn game played by throwing bolas (two balls connected by a string) onto a ladder.

The items needed to play are two ladders and a set of three bolas per team. Each ladder has three rungs, each rung scoring a different point value. One common method of scoring is to have the rungs be one, two and three points. In one variety the top is worth 1, middle is 2, and bottom is 3.^[2] Points are tallied at the end of each round, after all teams have thrown their bolas. The bolas suspended on the ladder score the points for that rung, often with the goal of getting at least 21 points to win.

The balls on the bolas are often golf balls, but may be any uniform weight. They are sometimes plastic balls or a monkey’s fist knot. Teams are distinguished by having their own color. For example, Team One may have three bolas with blue string, Team Two may have red string and Team Three may have purple string. Also, the teams may have different colors of balls. Ladder toss may be played with two people (one person per team) or up to six people (three teams of two people).

In some rules, if a player scores over that number, must either revert to his previous total or go down that number of points. Depending on house rules, if both teams score on the same rung, those points do not count, or if balls are looped around other balls, those do not count. Other rule sets allow points in both instances.

The rungs may be plastic pipe, wood or other materials.

The game is often played while tailgating at sporting events.^[2]
